"People who live in glass houses shouldn't throw stones"

People who live in glass houses....

1) have really high heating and cooling bills
2) shouldn't walk around naked
3) are showoffs
4) have faded furniture
5) should buy stock in Windex

It sounds so fabulous, to live in a home with floor-to-ceiling windows surrounding you. But is it really? I mean, really, what's so great about always being watched, being seen, having to be dressed and glamorous 24-7? I personally, will pass. I like to be comfortable. I like to lounge around in pj's and fuzzy slippers (at best) or a blanket (at worse).
And I normally "clean" my house on weekends only. Whatever happens between Monday and Friday is left there til Saturday unless someone else picks it up (yeah, right). So if you stop by my home during the week, enter at your own risk. I live with a 13-year-old and a 30-something, both males. Do you think this place stays clean for more than 15 minutes?! Absolutely not.

Oh, and there are those times when I am having a blast playing the Kinect for XBox 360. And trust me, NO ONE needs to see me do that! I jump and flail around like a fool, working up a sweat, either white water rafting or doing some boxing. These moments need to remain private.

So, thanks, but no thanks, I'll stick to sheet rock and plaster.

  1. LOL!! The concept is pretty cool though. If you live at the top of a mountain and no one else is around, the view would be fantastic! But yeah, sunrises while you are trying to sleep and hailstorms are NO BUENO!
